Brittany contacted me over the summer to book a session to celebrate the start of her clinical year of veterinary school. We had actually done a photo session together after she was first accepted into vet school, so I felt honored that she wanted to do another session with me to observe this important milestone! Veterinary school consists of four years of post-undergraduate education, the first three of which are spent in the classroom. The last year (fourth year) is spent rotating through different specialty departments in the veterinary hospital, applying all that you have learned in the previous three years. Clinical year is signified by a special "white coat ceremony", in which a seasoned veterinarian gives the veterinary student their white coat, thus signifying their transition into clinical practice.
This is an incredibly special and challenging time, and worthy of celebrating! Brittany also wanted photos with her elderly pet goat, Comet, and her sweet dog, Winston. It's not every day that I get to photograph a goat, and we all had a wonderful time together! Who knew that goats have such personalities?
